Virtual Visits Now Available

Telemedicine - The future is now

Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technologies to provide clinical health care at a distance. It helps eliminate distance barriers and can improve access to medical services. Click to a look at Dr. Vicki's article on Telemedicine .

We are partnering with Mend to offer secure, online visits with our pediatricians. As a first step, we are offering these visits by appointment only.

What Problems Can Be Addressed At Televisits?

Eligible conditions such as behavioral health (ADHD, anxiety and depression), asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and obesity. Some acute conditions may be managed by telemedicine. Some examples may include allergic rhinitis, sinusitis (over the age of 5), contact dermatitis, insect bites, gastroenteritis and swimmer’s ear.

What Do I Need to Make It Work?

All you need is a webcam-enabled desktop or laptop computer or a tablet or smartphone. Click on Televisit to view a connectivity guide.

How Do I Get a Visit with a Pediatrician?

At this time you can schedule a televisit appointment by calling our office at 770-704-0057 and speaking with our staff.  Our staff will triage (evaluate your symptoms) and if they meet the critera, a televisit will be scheduled for you.  Click on Televisit to view a connectivity guide with more detailed instructions on how to connect via a strong internet connection.

What Does It Cost?

We will bill your insurance company for the visit just as we would with a traditional office visit. Co-pays and deductibles may apply.  Additionally, there is a $10.00 convenience fee that is not covered by insurance.
